Crafty Pods Review

Crafty Pods Review Crafty Pods Play-Doh use

[AD] Ryan and Thomas have been really getting into arts and crafts lately, Ryan especially, as most mornings as soon as he wakes up all he wants to do is draw.

As much as I love them getting creative, the results of their art projects can take a toll on the house, and my sanity.

For example, Thomas, who is now 2.5 years old, has recently drawn on the living room wall, and he loves to draw on the floor.

This has resulted in me being very reluctant to do anything in the house that requires materials that can make a mess, or stain my furniture, walls, or floors, which is why discovering Crafty Pods has changed my mum life.

Crafty Pods are the perfect solution to letting my boys run wild with their creativity, without fear of marking anything, or making a mess that can’t be easily cleaned.

If you’d like to find out more about Crafty Pods, including my thoughts on them, then here’s my review on this fantastic product, which I hope helps you decide if Crafty Pods is a product that you’d like to buy for your children.

In this review I’ll cover:

I hope you find this review helpful, and would love to know if there’s anything that you think I can add to it, to ensure it’s as helpful as can be.

Crafty Pods

Crafty Pods was born during lockdown, and was designed to help parents keep their children entertained indoors or outdoors, at home or when out, helping parents to nurture their children’s creativity with hours of fun.

As well as nurturing children’s creativity, Crafty Pods make mum life easier by being able to be stored away in small storage areas, thereby not adding any clutter to our homes.

They come in three sizes and three different colours, so they suit the décor of any home.

Packaging

Crafty Pods come in their own carry bag, which has a zip and handles, making it easy to transport and store.

How Crafty Pods work

Crafty Pods are a portable pop up playpen that contain any mess made whilst children sit in them to play, get creative, or even nap.

They can be used indoors or outdoors in a multitude of ways, including, but not limited to:

  • Arts and crafts
  • Painting
  • Messy play
  • Baking
  • Eating
  • Den building
  • Play-Doh construction
  • Block building
  • Sand castle making
  • Lego sessions
  • Playing with toys
  • Taking naps with different types of bedding
  • Reading
  • Investigating leaves and other outdoor materials

Once your child has finished using their Crafty Pod, it can be easily cleaned by shaking the mess out of it, wiping it with a cloth, or hosing it down outdoors.

Once cleaned and dried it can be folded and placed into the bag it came in.

Instructions on how to fold it come on the information leaflet placed in a section on the storage bag, and can also be found here.

My overall thoughts on Crafty Pods

Crafty Pods are a fantastic product, they’re perfect if like me you find it hard to deal with the mess and clutter that children’s play time can bring.

I love how well Crafty Pods contains any type of play that my children want to do, especially messier activities such as Play-Doh and painting.

I also love that there’s 3 sizes available, because it means that I can still use one of these in my living room, which is quite small.

This product is very easy to set up, but I do recommend being careful when taking it out of the bag, because it can open very quickly, and the first time I opened it my face was too close to it and it hit me in the nose.

Otherwise, this product is fantastic and has many pros for our house, the biggest being that it’s exactly what I needed to allow my son’s to be creative indoors without the fear that they’ll get their messy supplies on my furniture, walls, and floor.

It’s given my boys hours of fun because they’re not worrying about me hovering over them, making sure they’re staying tidy, which defeats the point of creative play.

Over summer I plan to take our Crafty Pod to the beach, or to any hotels we’ll stay at, so they can play with their toys in it, or even nap in it together.
