Christmas is fast approaching, so now is the perfect time to start buying any gifts that you need for the 3-4 year old in your life.

3-4 year olds can be tricky to buy for, as their tastes change almost daily.

With this in mind, whenever I buy gifts for my own 4 year old, I buy gifts that he loves at the time, like Paw Patrol gifts, combined with gifts that will be a favourite for longer than a few months, like magnetic tiles.

If you need some ideas on what to buy a 3-4 year old for Christmas, then I hope this Christmas gift guide for 3-4 year olds provides some inspiration.

Just as a note, the above images have been sourced from the website they’re linked to below, and the prices shown were current at the time this post was written.

CHRISTMAS GIFT GUIDE FOR 3-4 YEAR OLDS

Here are 20 Christmas gift ideas for 3-4 year olds.

1 Little Town Wooden Ice Cream Stand (£29.99)

Ryan loves pretending that he has an ice cream stand and making us pretend ice creams. So I thought this gift would be great for him this year.

This ice cream stand can be moved around the house, and the side table can be put down if you’re tight on space.

2 Ikea DUKTIG Play Kitchen (£49)

Ryan has had this play kitchen for a couple of years now, and he’s only just starting really enjoying it. He loves to stand behind it and serve Nick and I food from his plastic food collection.

This gift really sparks the imagination of 3-4 year olds, keeping them entertained for ages.

3 Magnetic Building Blocks (£28.99)

This gift is a winner in our household, Ryan loves to build things with Nick, they build castles, houses for his Paw Patrol pups, and all sorts of things.

This gift has allowed him to use different parts of his brain he wouldn’t normally use.

4 Crayola Color Bath Dropz (£9.95)

This is also something I’ve purchased for Ryan to encourage him to get into the bath.

This product contains 60 fragrance free tablets in red, yellow, and blue that you drop into the bath to make different colours, which makes bath time more fun for those children who love a bath, or like Ryan, need some encouragement to take one.

5 Ripp 3 Wheeled Mini Cruiser Scooter (£24.99)

Scooters are a great way for 3-4 year olds to get out some of their energy, build their balance skills, and enjoy time outdoors.

The handlebar is adjustable, so this scooter will grow with your child allowing them to use it for a few years.

6 Crayola Paw Patrol Color Wonder Set (£7.99)

These sets are fantastic as the markers are invisible and the ink only changes colour once it’s on the paper, which means ink won’t go on your furniture.

7 Galt Giant Floor Puzzles Town (11.99)

Puzzles are great for 3-4 year olds, and this giant puzzle is just a little more challenging than smaller ones.

There are many different scenes you can buy, so there’s sure to be a puzzle to suit any interest.

8 Playfoam® Shape & Learn (£13)

The texture of this Christmas gift ideas for 3-4 year olds is squishy, allowing it to be moulded onto the ABC cards that come with this product.

This means as well as sensory fun, your 3-4 year old can also learn their ABCs.

9 Play-Doh Kitchen Creations Spinning Treats Mixer (£15.97)

Ryan is really into Play-Doh at the moment, and he loves the sets that come with accessories.

Young bakers will love this Play-Doh set, which comes with Play-Doh and a mixer, so your little baker can make all sorts of baked good treats.

10 Giant Bag of Assorted Craft (£6.00)

Arts and crafts were one of the lockdown activities Ryan really enjoyed, and now whenever we’re at home he wants to create something.

This giant bag is filled with lots of different bits and pieces that will inspire the creativity in any 3-4 year old.

11 Bosch Workbench X-Leg (£24.99)

This is definitely a Christmas gift that Ryan would love.

Being able to screw nuts and bolts into holes would give any 3-4 year old hours of fun.

12 Kids Concept Play Tent in Star Grey (£30.95)

Tents provide a fantastic little hideaway for 3-4 year olds that love a little time to themselves.

As well as providing some quiet time, the lovely design and muted colour of this tent means it can be placed anywhere in your home, and not look out of place.

13 PAW Patrol Moon Chair (£14.99)

Ryan received this chair for his birthday, and there’s not a day that goes by that he doesn’t sit in it.

We use this chair at Ryan’s craft table so he can do arts and crafts, or eat dinner on it.

14 Classic World Tic-Tac Clock (£13.99)

As well as being a great gift for your 3-4 year old to learn to tell the time, it also allows them to learn about numbers and shapes in a fun way.

15 Squirrel Play 50 Piece Wooden Building Blocks (£9)

These wooden blocks, just like the magnetic tiles, provide your 3-4 year old with the ability to make things, challenging their building skills, whilst allowing them to see what shapes fit on each other.

16 Early Learning Centre Extendable Double-Sided Easel (£47.99)

This is a gift that I’m going to add to Ryan’s future gift list.

I love that this easel has two sides, one with a whiteboard and one with a black board, so your 3-4 year old can experiment with different drawing tools.

17 Kinetic Sandcastle Set Assortment (£14.99)

This sand feels just like real sand, but doesn’t leave a mess on your carpet, which is always a great selling point for me.

Your 3-4 year old can mould the sand into different shapes, or mould it into an accessory that the gift comes with.

18 Aquabeads Star Bead Studio (£14.99)

This is another great creative toy for any 3-4 year old, where the beads change shape when sprayed with water.

19 Crayola Silly Scents (£12.99)

These markers have scents to them, so your 3-4 year old can make things colourful, whilst experiencing some fun scents.

20 Magnetic Letters & Numbers 101 pieces (£6.99)

This is the perfect gift for any ABC or number fanatic, like Ryan.

As they are magnetic your 3-4 year old can have fun finding places where they’ll stick.

I hope you’ve found some Christmas gift ideas for 3-4 year olds on this list that you may consider buying this Christmas.

What’s on your Christmas gift list this year?
