Recently I purchased a Nania Trio Car Seat for Thomas that he could use for short journeys, mostly when being dropped off or picked up from nursery.

I chose a Nania Trio Car Seat because it was inexpensive, comfortable, and met all the required safety requirements that it needed to fulfil.

If you’d like to find out more about this car seat, including my thoughts on it, here is a review of it, which I hope helps you decide if the Nania Trio Car Seat is a car seat that you’d like to buy for your child.

In this review I’ll cover:

I hope you find this review helpful, and would love to know if there’s anything that you think I can add to it, to ensure it’s as helpful as can be.

An overview of Nania

Nania belongs to Groupe TeamTex, a French manufacturer of child car seats for over 20 years, and is present in 56 countries.

Their priority is making child safety on the road accessible for everyone, by offering the best value for money car seats.

The company is located in the Rhône-Alpes region, and they control the entire production chain from conception, design, mould making, manufacturing, and approval.

They manufacture an average of 12,000 car seats a day, or 66.5 million car seats since the company was founded.

Nania Trio Car Seat packaging

The car seat was wrapped in a plastic bag, and then placed inside a cardboard box. There was no other packaging material present.

How the car seat works

The Nania Trio Car Seat is installed into your car using a 3-point car seat belt, and can be positioned rearward facing from 0-10kg, then forward facing from 9-25kg.

The car seat has a 5-point harness with double shoulder adjustments, cushions to provide protection in the case of side impact, and removable cushions.

From 15kg you can remove the car seat’s harness and fasten your child to the car seat with your car’s 3-point seat belt.

  • Grey and white
  • Red

Recommended age

The car seat is a group 0/1/2 car seat, which means it’s suitable for children from birth up to 25kg, or until 4 years of age.

Price

I paid £38 for the car seat from Asda.

My overall thoughts on the car seat

I’m really happy with this car seat, it’s great quality for the price, and is well cushioned so it’s comfortable.

I also like that the harnesses can be removed so as Thomas gets heavier he can use it with the car’s 3-point seat belt, which means that it has longevity.

However, it’s not as sturdy as our other car seat, so it’s a car seat that we’ll only use for short journeys.
