In the past I’ve written about my thoughts on happiness, and how I feel that we place way too much emphasis on this feeling. There are so many different feelings and elements that determine how happy or successful you feel, and happiness is just one of them.
Whilst being happy is important, we need to acknowledge that there will be days, or periods of time where we’re not entirely happy. Times where other feelings come into play, and that’s totally okay, and great to acknowledge.
In order to explore the level of influence happiness has on my life, I purchased a Happiness Journal from Kikki.K.
The idea behind this journal is to create goals surrounding an area of your life each month for a year, which should assist you in having a more positive outlook on life. This works really well for me as being more positive is a massive part of my one little word for this year.
Once you decide on an area you want to focus on you set objectives for it, make a plan to achieve them, and then evaluate how well you did.
Seeing as this is a monthly activity, I’ve decided to turn it into a new series for this blog. In this series I will detail the area that I have decided to focus on for the month, and then I will write a follow up on how I went at the start of the next month.
The first area I will be focusing on for my Happiness Journal is health, which also ties in really well with my one little word for this year.
My objectives for improving my health this month are:
Exercise a minimum of 3 days a week.
How – walk in the morning before doing anything else.
Eat at least one piece of fruit a day.
How – add it to my breakfast.
Stop overthinking food choices.
How – log calories daily in the My Fitness Pal app.
Drink more water.
How – drink a full bottle before breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
How – create a healthy snacks and tips Pinterest board and stock up on them.
